2022 Election Information 

Election Day in 2022 will be August 9, 2022 (Regular Primary) and November 8, 2022 (General Election). 

2022 Election Calendar

  • May 17, 2022 - first day to file Affidavit of Candidacy for State, County, City and school district races
  • May 31, 2022 - last day to file Affidavit of Candidacy for State, County, City and school district races 
  • June 24, 2022 - in-person and mail absentee voting begins for Regular Primary
  • July 26, 2022 - City of Fridley Public Accuracy Test, 10 a.m. Fridley City Hall
  • August 9, 2022 - Regular Primary polls open 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
  • September 23, 2022 - in-person and mail absentee voting begins for General Election
  • October 25, 2022 - City of Fridley Public Accuracy Test, 10 a.m. Fridley City Hall 
  • November 8, 2022 - General Election polls open 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. 

Early Voting Information

Early voting for each election begins 46 days prior to Election Day. You may vote at the Fridley Civic Campus, at the Anoka County Government Center, or request an Absentee Ballot be mailed to your home. More information on absentee voting may be found by visiting the website of the Minnesota Secretary of State.

Contests with an asterisk are "primary possible" - if a sufficient number of candidates file, a primary for that office will take place on August 9, 2022. For the General Election, offices on the ballot will include:
