2022-01 Street Rehabilitation Project
Project Overview
The 2022 Street Rehabilitation Project includes pavement rehabilitation and miscellaneous utility repairs along street segments in various locations of the City and is a continuation of an initiative begun in 2021 to address accelerated deterioration in select street segments. The project is currently under construction, with completion anticipated in Summer 2023. Click on the map below for a larger view of the project areas.
Project Updates
September 12th, 2023
Beginning Wednesday, September 13th, the Contractor will begin corrective bituminous joint sealing operations along all project streets. For additional information, please see the official emailed notice.
August 7th, 2023
Beginning Tuesday, August 8th, the City’s Contractor will return to Hartman Circle, 71st Way, Riverview Terrace and West Bavarian Pass to complete corrective restoration of previously disturbed boulevard. The Contractor has also evaluated the bituminous joint sealing along the project streets and is putting together a schedule to repair locations where the sealant has been removed. June 30th, 2023
This week, the Contractor completed bituminous joint sawing & sealing on all project streets. The project is now substantially complete with no additional major construction activity to occur.
June 23rd, 2023
On Monday, June 26th, the Contractor is anticipated to begin bituminous joint saw & seal operations on all project streets. This process includes sawing the new pavement at prescribed locations and filling the cuts with a sealant, which creates defined joints in the pavement to allow for expansion and contraction during the freeze/thaw cycle. June 9th, 2023
This week, the Contractor completed adjustments to the existing utility structures in the pavement and began final restoration of disturbed areas along 71st Way, Riverview Terrace and West Bavarian Pass. Installation of the final layer of bituminous pavement along these streets has been rescheduled to Friday, June 9th. For additional information, please see the official emailed notice. (PDF)
June 2nd, 2023
This week, the Contractor completed preparation of the roadway base and installed the first layer of bituminous pavement along 71st Way, Riverview Terrace and West Bavarian Pass. Next week, the contractor will adjust utility structures in the pavement and install the final layer of pavement. For additional information, please see the official emailed notice (PDF).
May 24th, 2023
Roadway base preparation and paving operations along 71st Way, Riverview Terrace and West Bavarian Pass have been postponed this week. The Contractor is anticipated to resume these construction activities beginning Tuesday, May 30th, with paving on the remaining project streets to occur later in the week.
